Every workplace begins with a different ambition, but the best outcomes share something in common: a strong idea, shaped through collaboration and carried through with care.
Our own studio, George Street Chambers, Bentley and Seequent, Inhabit and Egis and Harmony Early Learning were all recognised in national awards. Across different organisations, industries and ways of working, each project represents an individual response to the people and culture it was created for.
For us, that recognition is less about a particular aesthetic and more about the thinking behind the work — considered decisions, strong partnerships and workplaces designed to create lasting value.
The Australian Interior Design Awards Gala brought Australia's design community together in Melbourne for an evening celebrating the people, projects and ideas shaping the industry.
There was plenty to celebrate. George Street Chambers and Bentley and Seequent were shortlisted — recognition we're incredibly proud to share with the clients, collaborators and project teams behind each workplace.
Beyond the results, evenings like this are a chance to look beyond our own work. To see what others are creating, exchange ideas and celebrate an industry that continues to challenge what good design can be.
Awards capture a moment. The workplaces themselves have a much longer life.
Their real value is found in what happens next: how people use them, how organisations grow within them and how well they continue to support the culture they were designed around. That's the measure that matters most to us.
Creating workplaces that continue to perform, connect people and contribute meaningfully to the businesses behind them is what keeps us moving forward.
